Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to this key role in the University’s Senior Management Team.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide inspirational leadership for innovative and effective delivery of professional services.The COO is responsible for the strategic leadership and development as well as the operational planning of professional service activity in Directorates and Schools. The COO will lead the continuous review and enhancement of the performance of professional services, taking full account of issues such as the balance of in-house and partnership provision, the relationship between Directorates and Academic Schools and the role of Artificial Intelligence in service delivery. The COO will be responsible for providing advice to the Principal as a member of the University’s Senior Management Team, will collaborate closely with the Senior Vice-Principal, and be expected to contribute to strategic decisions across the full range of University activities.
